During the summer between wrapping up classroom teaching and diving into my learning design graduate program, I thought a lot about transitions. I was transitioning from teaching (which I love) to becoming a student once again while making art and design a bigger part of my life. I started seeing reflections of that personal transition in the landscape everywhere I looked. I found myself drawn to moments in the landscape where differences met and merged- surf:shore, city:sky, fog:forest- and that helped me explore the moments where differences meet within myself- tension:ease, chaos:clarity, struggle:rest. I loved creating this collection and it was so wonderful to hear that it resonated with many collectors as well.

This collection was released at the Horizons launch party at Stable Cafe in September of 2022. This was my last full collection launch before I started graduate school, and I am grateful every time I look back on that period of anticipation and hope!
