Lilac Plovers
16 x 24” acrylic on canvas, framed in solid wood.
This drift of plovers across a sky - that is shifting from blues through yellow and finishing in a delicate lilac - is perhaps the clearest example of crossing boundaries in this collection. I experimented with some lavender and lilac hues in this piece that I don’t typically use, and I love the size of the flock of plovers against the negative space in the piece.
